Kufri
Kufri (2510 m) is popular place with local tourists who go there to take mule rides and skiing. There are some good hiking routes including one to Mahasu Peak. A wide spread of snow peaks, deep valleys and a position as a ‘must do‘ excursion from Shimla have ensured Kufri‘s popularity down the decades. This is a little hamlet in
the Himalayan belt. This was the place where skiing originated in Himachal Pradesh and today, this remains popular for its walks, horse and yak rides, drives and views.
CLIMATE::Kufri is pleasant in summer and cottons and light woollens are
suggested. Winters are cold and heavy clothing is required.
